College basketball daily-11/11/18
Happy Veterans' Day and thank you to all those that are serving or have served. Another light schedule on tap today but here are some games to watch: (all times Eastern)
GAMES OF NATIONAL INTEREST:
1. Vanderbilt at USC at 9 p.m. (Pac-12 Network). Okay, this might be pushing it a little to say it is of national interest, but I do think these are two potential bubble teams. So, this early non-con matchup is a good chance for one team to add a good win to their resume'. I think Vandy goes into LA and comes away with a close victory.
Note: I am now up to 7-3 on my straight up picks in these games. I will soon be adding picks against the spread. My early season philosophy is that it is rarely wise to bet on spreads until you have at least a few games from every team to judge them on.
UPSET WATCH:
FSU at Tulane at 7 p.m. (ESPN3/Watch ESPN)
East Tennessee St. at Creighton at 1:30 p.m. (FS1)
Hofstra at Marshall at 2:30 p.m. (ESPN+)
FGCU at Michigan St. at 6 p.m. (Big Ten Network)
Other games that could/should be fun to watch:
Army at Duke at 1 p.m. (ESPN) Expect lots of dunks!
UC Santa Barbara at N. Dakota St. at 2 p.m. (ESPN+)
George Washington at Virginia at 2 p.m. (ACC Network/Watch ESPN)
Utah Valley at St. Mary's at 8 p.m. (TheW.tv)
