Headliner Games
None. Okay, so at the pace I am going this week, I may have to change the title on this section to “Headliner Games that will actually be Blowouts.” But, seriously, with only 10 games tonight, I don’t quite see one as a headliner.
Upset Watch Games
La. Tech at Mississippi St. (-8 ½) at 8 p.m. (SECN+)
Oklahoma (-6) at N. Texas at 8 p.m. (CBSSN on Facebook Watch)
Furman at #14 Auburn (-12 ½) at 9 p.m. (SECN)
N. Illinois at St. Mary’s (-14 ½) at 10 p.m. (WCC Network)
These 4 games are my best bets for an upset. Auburn has been playing some darn fine basketball since getting a scare on the road at South Alabama. While Furman proved last year they can go on the road and beat some big boys, they will need a huge effort from Jordan Lyons, Alex Hunter, and Clay Mounce to pull this one off. In the other games, I think Louisiana Tech might be the best bet to sneak one in Starkville, but if I had to say for sure, I don’t think any of these upsets actually happen (we may get a scare or two though).
Other games to Watch
S. Dakota St. at Montana St. (PK) at 10 p.m. (Pluto TV)
The SDSU-Montana St. game should be a pretty decent one. I think both will be a threat in their respective conferences, the Summit and the Big Sky. However, as much as a huge college basketball fan as I am, if you wanted to take a night off to binge watch a show, this is probably a good night to pick. Enjoy!
