11-23-19 College Basketball Games to Watch
69 games today/tonight and here are the best to watch. Ole Miss-Memphis should be fun even without James Wiseman. Enjoy!
Ole Miss at #16 Memphis (-4) at 1 p.m. (ESPN3)
No ranked vs. ranked match-ups today, but a good test for Memphis facing life without top recruit James Wiseman due to his NCAA-imposed suspension. Ole Miss was a big surprise team last year, and is off to a good start so far this year. If Memphis wants to avoid putting their tourney fate in the hands of a committee that might just be biased against them, they need to win this game. I think Memphis pulls out a close one.
Upset Watch Games
UALR at N.C. State (-15) (Barclays Center Classic campus game) at 1 p.m. (ACCN Extra)
Oral Roberts (-15) at Wichita St. at 3 p.m. (ESPN3)
Yale at Penn St. (-15) (NIT Season Tip-Off campus game) at 4 p.m. (BTN+) $$
Penn at Providence (-14 ½) (Wooden Legacy non-bracketed game) at 4 p.m. (FS2)
Sam Houston St. at San Francisco (-10 ½) at 8 p.m. (WCC Network)
Slim pickings on the Upset Watch today as most power conference teams are either avoiding playing on Saturday still or scheduled games against teams they are massive favorites to beat. Yale or Penn are very capable of going on the road and pulling the upset. The others are longer shots in my mind but possible (again if Evansville, who lost again yesterday, can go to Rupp and win, just about anything can happen this year).
Other Games to Watch
DePaul (-1) at Boston College at noon (ACCN Extra)
College of Charleston at UCF (-4 ½) (Wooden Legacy non-bracketed game) at 2 p.m. (ESPN3)
Arizona St. (-2 ½) vs. St. John’s (Air Force Reserve Tip-Off; Uncasville, CT; Mohegan Sun Arena; Naismith Bracket) at 2:30 p.m. (ESPN3)
Liberty (-8) vs. Rice (Islands of the Bahamas Showcase-Winner’s Bracket) at 5 p.m. (FloHoops) $$
Belmont (-2) at St. Louis (Gotham Classic) at 5 p.m. (ESPN+) $$
Illinois St. vs. W. Kentucky (-6) (Paradise Jam-Consolation Bracket; St. Thomas, VI) at 5:30 p.m. (FloHoops) $$
Georgia St. at Cal Baptist (-2) (Empire Classic-Championship Game; Riverside, CA, Subregional) at 10:30 p.m. (FloHoops) $$
SMU (-1 ½) at UNLV at 10:30 p.m. (Stadium on Facebook Watch)
DePaul tries to move to 6-0 with a road win at B.C.; could Dave Leitao 2.0 have the Blue Demons back to some relevance in the Big East this year? SMU tries to move to 5-0 with a nice road win late at UNLV. Could Tim Jankovich have the Mustangs back to some relevance in the American this year? Arizona State travels cross country to try to pick up a neutral court win vs. St. John’s. Could Bobby Hurley have the Sun Devils back to relevance in the improved Pac-12 this year? Okay, you may be sensing a pattern here. And there are some good mid-major games thrown in on this list too. I really like the Cal Baptist-Georgia State game late tonight. Enjoy!
